Some drugs may cause idiosyncratic responses. This means that some individuals have an increased susceptibility to adverse drug reactions for reasons yet unknown. For example, clinical and research observations have found that some individuals are particularly prone to psychosis induced by cannabis. Similar observations have been made in users of amphetamines.
