arbias Lifestyle Support Services provides prevocational and employment services, recreation services, and community support services for people with alcohol or other substance related brain impairment. The service is facilitated by a team of staff who specialise in providing support at each level of the program offered. Our Lifestyle Support Service uses a Person Centred approach to work with the person in determining their employment, health and well being and other community support needs. At arbias, we focus on individual strengths, choices, preferences and interests when we work with you in exploring opportunities. Fees In general, there are no fees to access our programs. We are funded by a number of community, corporate and government departments including: the Department of Victorian Communities, Transport Accident Commission and the Department of Human Services. Eligibility
People with acquired brain impairment as a result of alcohol or drug use can access the services by contacting arbias. We ask that you self refer or have someone refer on your behalf by filling in a simple referral form.
Referral & Application You can inquire about the arbias Lifestyle Support Service programs via the telephone, mail, fax or email. Once a request is made, the appropriate worker will meet with you to discuss your request in more detail. You may choose to have a support person present. This meeting usually occurs in the home or in an environment where you feel comfortable. At this first meeting the worker will also outline the information required by arbias (i.e. Support Plan, other services providing you with support etc.). This initial meeting provides an opportunity for you to determine whether or not we are the most appropriate service. If it is determined that we are not the most appropriate service option for you, then arbias will assist you to access a service more suited to your needs. |
