arbias Prevocational & Employment Support

arbias Employment Services offer support and training to people with brain impairment as a result of alcohol or other drug use by assisting them to achieve their individual potential.

Using a Person Centred approach, our specialist staff will support you in forming a comprehensive assessment and plan of action to assist you with accessing further education and/or your employment of choice. You may not know what your employment choices may be and need some support in reaching your goals.

Prevocational Support

arbias can connect you with appropriate and relevant courses and traineeships that will assist you with acquiring or retraining in skills for your chosen area of employment. We can support you in accessing CAE courses and TAFE courses (traineeships, certificates & short courses) local to where you live.

We also have a partnership with a number of training organisations who can support you in learning and building the foundations of your own business.

Employment Support

Like all employees, you can bring a range of skills, talents and abilities to a workplace. Your skills and abilities are an untapped resource as a potential employee and your life experiences, just like any other employee’s, can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to an employer.

The principles of accessing mainstream employment opportunities are the same for a person with acquired brain impairment as they are for a person without one - the focus should be on whether the individual has the skills to do the job. Our staff can support you to find a place of employment and create a match between your skills and those an employer is seeking.
