Occupational Therapy

arbias occupational therapy focuses on helping people develop and maintain their skills to carry out their everyday occupations such as work, school, self-care, leisure and their ability to manage domestic and community based activities.

Occupational therapy services through arbias are provided within the community, meaning either in the person’s home or within other relevant community based environments. Services are focused on helping the individual achieve what they would like to be able to do by helping them to regain the competence in these activities. This may include introducing specialised equipment or recommending modifications to maximise the individual’s independence and promote their safety.

The occupational therapist is also able to help identify a person’s support needs in terms of any practical assistance that they may require to help them regain these skills or to suggest care and support in areas where they require assistance.
